dcbel has developed a rich ecosystem of products and transformational technologies to support the delivery of energy without compromise for prosumers, utilities, OEMs, commercial aggregators and more.

dcbel Home Energy Digital Twin creates new value streams

dcbel Digital Twins were leveraged to study the potential of bidirectional EVs in conjunction with existing resources like home solar and ESS.

The solution orchestrated a sequence of interactions between grid management software and individual sites to prevent overloading the grid. Cloud-to-cloud integration with a real-time distribution network management system was then designed and validated.

Vehicle To Energy Communities (VECTORS)

Project partners

Voltalis, a leading European Flexibility Service Provider, used dcbel Digital Twin to design, develop, implement and test their new app.

The app connects their platform with field-deployed smart appliances in a way that complies with local requirements.

Cloud-to-cloud integration of dcbel and Voltalis’ platforms through OpenADR 2.0b was subsequently built, implemented and tested.

Tomorrow’s Homes Today

Project partners

dcbel Ara, our flagship Home Energy Station, safely manages the bidirectional flow of energy between the home and the grid.

All-in-one functionality includes:

  • Smart charging for two EVs (Pure DC and Level 2 AC)
  • Rooftop solar inverter
  • Home battery inverter
  • Vehicle-to-home (V2H) power flow for backup power or rate arbitrage
  • Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) power flow for peak capacity reduction and balancing reserve
  • Smart home energy management
