Unleash the power

of your EV

as a home battery

Your EV contains the biggest battery you’ll ever own. Ara +solar uses it to its full potential. It sets up a direct connection from roof to road, charging any EV with solar to gain up to 20,000 free miles/year.

Ara also powers your home with your bidirectional EV for up to 10 days⁴, so you have a backup when rates peak or when the grid goes down.

Maximize savings,

right at the source

Ara calculates whether to consume, store or sell your energy over 100 times a second, making sure your home is always powered while getting maximum value from your energy, day and night.

Discover native generation: keep up to 30% more of the energy you generate using the most efficient solution on the market.

No more

blackouts, ever

Ara uses micro-weather forecasting to detect storms that have the potential to knock out the power in your neighborhood, and stores energy in your home battery and your EV to make sure you’re not caught off guard.

When the power goes out, Ara taps your home battery and bidirectional EV, and it’s the only system able to power your home directly from solar during a blackout.

Power that

stays with you

Control, monitor and oversee your energy from home or away from your smartphone. The dcbel App lets you visualize your savings over time, schedule EV charging, view live energy flows and much more.

Military-grade data encryption with CSIP certification locks your data tight.

A beauty

of a beast

Built to last in the USA. Ara can be installed indoors or outside, and comes with a 12-year warranty.⁵

^{(1) Based on a modeled scenario for a PG&E customer on the EV2-A rate plan. Assumptions include a 2,400 sq. ft. home with average monthly energy consumption of 1,275 kWh, and daily EV discharging at 7.6 kW for 2 hours (approximately 288 kWh/month). Seasonal electricity rates used: $0.31/kWh in winter and $0.18/kWh in summer. Actual savings may vary depending on utility rates, energy usage, EV battery capacity, and user behavior. This estimate is for informational purposes only and does not guarantee savings.}

^{(2) Based on participation in two vehicle-to-grid (V2G) programs: (1) California’s Emergency Load Reduction Program (ELRP), which compensates at $2 per kW for up to 60 hours annually, assuming a discharge rate of 7.6 kW per hour; and (2) the CAISO Flex Market, with an average compensation of $0.14 per kWh, based on daily participation of 3 hours at 5 kW (15 kWh total). Actual earnings may vary depending on program availability, participation levels, EV battery capacity, and utility partnerships. This estimate is for informational purposes only and does not guarantee compensation.}
